Project overview

Twelve residences shaped by terraces, shade, and a composed arrival.

Golf Residences brings twelve apartments together across four levels in Quartier du Golf, Yaoundé. Successive setbacks and broad terraces extend the homes outward while giving the building a measured relationship to the street and surrounding landscape.

Vertical fins protect windows from direct solar radiation, limiting overheating and glare while favoring diffuse daylight and natural cross ventilation. A gated entrance, curved pedestrian canopy, and dense tropical planting shape the transition from the street to the residences.

Architecture

A distinct street presence softened by tropical landscape.

Vertical piers establish the building’s rhythm and frame broad areas of glazing. Circular windows mark secondary volumes, while recessed openings and projecting elements create depth across the façade.

The entrance canopy becomes a recognizable threshold at the street. Walls, gates, lighting, and planting are treated as one arrival composition rather than as separate site elements.

Construction

Design intent carried through structure, façade, and water management.

The construction sequence records the building from its reinforced concrete frame and upper-level slab work through window installation, exterior finishing, and final façade development.

Technical systems were coordinated with the architecture. At the roof, a rainwater downpipe is concealed within one of the vertical façade fins, preserving the elevation’s rhythm while carrying water discreetly to grade.
